Walnuts Prevent Breast Cancer Risk


Walnut is usually used as a spice in cooking and makes food more delicious. Besides that, walnuts also have a lot of protein content and health benefits.

Breast cancer is the most terrible disease of women because it can cause death if you diagnosed too late. To prevent risks, eating walnuts is one solution.

The findings are based on research results compiled by researchers from Marshall University. Total consumption of walnuts in this test is about 2 ounces per day for humans. Research shows that regular consumption of walnuts can reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase healthy cholesterol (HDL) in the body. Besides, walnut is also well known to prevent and slow the progression of breast cancer. Walnuts are the nuts contain only alpha-linolenic acid, one type of omega-3 fatty acids with the most content.

The source of alpha-linolenic acid can be obtained from soybeans, fish, flaxseed, and some green vegetables. But the contents are only a little and there is nothing more than a walnut. According to the researchers, the content  of walnut are phytosterols, polyphenols, carotenoids, melatonin and Omega-3 fatty acids that are the bioactive components that can inhibit the formation of breast cancer.
